When I was in second and third grade, both of my teachers did not want to teach me cursive because it was not a part of the curriculum, and my third grade teacher said his handwriting was bad. Across the country, students are not being taught cursive, and it is becoming a dying art form. We need cursive to support our young readers, writers, and thinkers.
